This note is to commend the fine work of Mr. Troy Ott in seeking, obtaining, and negotiating
the sale of our property in Lexington, South Carolina.
It was with deliberate thought that I chose to highlight these three processes separately which
are normally thought of holistically as part of completed home sale. In these uncertain financial times
each phase of a home sale can no longer be taken for granted. Troy realized this upfront and worked
diligently in every phase.


In seeking a buyer, Troy staged the home in spite of the fact that we were one thousand miles
away. He was considerate of financial resources and worked with his many connections to find
contractors at reasonable prices. With Troy overseeing the work, the outcome was done well, on
time, and inside the predicted budgets. Troy even found us a person to do the lawn which our
previous realtor never even suggested.


In obtaining the buyer, Troy worked with the other realtors to minimize the need for counter
offers. He was a prolific communicator and we always felt we were in the loop. The offers were
tightly written and represented our interests. Troy's natural acumen as a savvy business man was
clearly displayed in his attention to these seemingly small but important details.
In negotiation, Troy showed true innovation and was willing to do just about anything to
complete this sale. In our situation, the offer left money owed to the mortgage holder which we could
not afford. Troy worked with all parties, the buyer, the buyer's broker, and even his own broker to
adjust the deal for a sure closing. I was amazed at the lengths he would go in order to satisfy all
parties. To say he was dogged in pursuit of this sale is nearly an understatement.
I have bought and sold 4 other properties in my life and worked with many realtors in the
process.
